Retroid’s premiere device is unique in many ways, which the company would move away from in subsequent devices. This is a vertical handheld with a single analogue stick, and a 6-button layout akin to the Sega Genesis and Saturn.

• The Retroid Pocket lacks shoulder buttons (though most of the games it can emulate do not require them). In a pinch the Volume +/- buttons on the right side of the device can be remapped as L1 and R1.
